This situation changed when Farian added Dutch singers Roosje Janssen and Linda de Mol to the group.

The other members of the group either stay off-screen or perform behind Farian. So although they may look like they are singing together, it is actually just Farian singing and then another singer (usually Miriam) joining him partway through the song. And even with four members performing live, that still only adds two voices to the mix. But even with everyone involved, 'Boney M.' still only has two singers on the recordings. He would even have them sing together live at times (although this is not common). To resolve this issue, Farian started including all four members on his tours and concerts.

This led to many complaints from fans who felt that the band was cheating them by not giving them every member's contribution to the songs. As a result, only two members of the group sang on the CDs, despite the fact that all four members performed onstage in concert.
